The hotel is approximately 3 miles northeast of Reagan Washington National Airport — a 15 minute drive by car or taxi (without traffic) or a 16 minute Metro ride. The hotel does not provide airport shuttle service.

The estimated taxi fare from the airport to the Holiday Inn Washington Capitol is approximately $25 one way. To access a taxi at Reagan Washington National Airport, proceed from any terminal Baggage Claim through the doors to the curbside where taxi lines are clearly marked.

The Washington, DC Metrorail system has an elevated Metrorail station connected to the concourse level of Terminals B and C at Reagan Washington National Airport and provides easy access to the Holiday Inn Washington Capitol. From Terminals B and C, follow the sign "To Metro". From Terminal A, exit the terminal to the street curb and board any “Airport Shuttle” bus. At the stops for Parking Garages B and C (bus shelters #3 and #5), you will find an enclosed pedestrian bridge that connects to the Metro station.

From the Reagan Washington National Airport station, take the yellow Metro line to the L’Enfant Plaza Station stop. Walk about 3 minutes to the Holiday Inn Washington Capitol, 550 C Street, S.W.

The hotel offers self-parking in a public garage underneath the building. The parking is $40/day for overnight guests. There is no valet parking available.

• Head southeast on Aviation Circle
• Turn right toward Aviation Circle
• Continue onto Aviation Circle
• Slight right onto the George Washington Memorial Parkway N ramp to I-395/Washington
• Merge onto George Washington Memorial Parkway
• Use the right lane to merge onto I-395 N via the ramp to Washington, D.C.
• Keep right to stay on I-395 N
• Use the right lane to take the 12th Street exit toward L'Enfant Promenade
• Keep right and merge onto D Street, S.W.
• Continue on D Street, S.W.
• Drive to C Street, S.W., and then to 550 C Street, S.W.  

• Head south on I-270
• Take I-495 south 
• Use the right lane to take exit 43-44 for VA-193/George Washington Memorial Parkway/Georgetown Pike toward Washington
• Keep right at the fork to continue on Exit 43, follow signs for George Washington Memorial Parkway/Washington
• Continue onto George Washington Memorial Parkway
• Take the exit onto I-395 N toward Washington
• Keep right to stay on I-395 N
• Use the right lane to take the 12th Street exit toward L'Enfant Promenade
• Keep right and merge onto D Street, S.W.
• Continue on D Street, S.W.
• Turn left onto 6th Street, S.W.
• Turn right onto C Street, S.W.
• 550 C Street, S.W. will be on the right
